CCC Presents “Monetizing Music Publishing” in LA March 9
All aspects of the music publishing business will be explored in an animated panel discussion the evening of March 9 at the California Copyright Conference monthly meeting in Sherman Oaks, California.
During the current challenging economic times, lenders are offering publishers and writers creative ways of generating cash flow. The CCC panel of experts will discuss music catalog valuation and deal structures for sales and securitization purposes, how royalty streams can be pledged, what lenders require for the financing of publishing deals and the due diligence steps publishers can take to enhance copyright value.
“Music publishing commerce is a vibrant market,” states Michael Morris, CCC board member and moderator for the discussion. “Buyers and sellers of copyrights need to be well informed about current deal structures and financing opportunities. The same holds true for rights holders who wish to borrow against these assets. That is the purpose of our panel.”
Speaking at the event:
* Eli Ball – Lyric Financial
* Keith Bernstein – CEO and President, Royalty Review Council, LLC
* Joanna Lucchesi – Senior VP Entertainment and Media, HSBC Private Bank
* Jay Morgenstern – Morningstar Enterprises (former long-time Executive VP/General Manager of Warner/Chappell Music)
* Gary Roth – Assistant Vice President, Legal & Business Affairs, Performing Rights, BMI
The moderator for the panel will be Michael Morris of Valensi Rose, PLC.
