Warner/Chappell Music Signs John Paul Jones And Joshua Homme To Worldwide Administration Agreement
Global music publisher Warner/Chappell Music has announced it has signed a worldwide publishing agreement with two members of the newly-formed rock group, Them Crooked Vultures: renowned artists John Paul Jones and Joshua Homme. As part of the agreement, Warner/Chappell will administer Jones’ and Homme’s interests in the compositions they create with Them Crooked Vultures, including songs from the band’s self-titled debut album, as well as all future compositions with the group.
Them Crooked Vultures was released on November 17, 2009 and topped Billboard’s Hard Rock albums chart and landed in the top five on Billboard’s Alternative, Rock and Digital albums charts.
Formed in January 2009, Them Crooked Vultures is comprised of: legendary instrumentalist, musical director, arranger, songwriter and producer, John Paul Jones, the former bassist for Led Zeppelin, one of the most influential rock bands of all time and who were recipients of the 2005 Grammy “Lifetime Achievement Award;” Joshua Homme, founder of the four-time Grammy-nominated group, Queens of the Stone Age; and Dave Grohl, Foo Fighters frontman and Them Crooked Vultures/Nirvana Drummer.

It’s exciting to see the two of them now come together with Dave Grohl, himself a superstar recording artist and songwriter, many of whose songs Warner/Chappell also administers.
